 Counselling

How This Works in Practice

When you come to therapy, we’ll start by understanding what’s bringing you here and what you hope to change or achieve. From there, we’ll work together to choose the best approaches for you. Sometimes this might mean exploring things through conversation and reflection. Other times, we might integrate practical tools or evidence-based methods to support deeper healing.

I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including:

  • Talking therapy – Offering a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your feelings and experiences

  • Hypnotherapy – Helping access the subconscious mind to create meaningful and lasting change

  • EMDR – Supporting the gentle processing of trauma and difficult memories so they lose their emotional intensity

  • Creative tools – Using sand play, guided imagery, or other techniques to help express and explore what words sometimes can’t capture

Because counselling is collaborative, we check in regularly to see what’s working and adapt as needed. This way, your therapy always feels relevant and effective for where you are in your journey.

Life isn’t simple and neither is healing. integrative counselling allows us to respond to your changing needs, rather than sticking to one rigid model. It gives you choice, flexibility, and a voice in shaping the therapy that feels right for you.

Whatever you’re facing - grief, trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck this approach allows us to bring together the right tools to help you feel supported, understood, and ready to move forward.
